2026 'MEET THE BUYER'

Connecting Capability to Opportunity

Presented by INPEX

BUYER AND SUPPLIER EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST NOW OPEN

Energy Club NT's annual Meet the Buyer event returns in 2026, providing a valuable platform for suppliers to connect directly with major project owners, operators, contractors and procurement teams working across the Northern Territory.

Building on the success of previous years, the event continues to focus on creating meaningful business connections by matching supplier capabilities with genuine upcoming procurement opportunities. In partnership with Industry Capability Network NT (ICN NT), participating buyers have provided forward works plans and procurement requirements, allowing supplier capabilities to be assessed and aligned with relevant project opportunities before the event.

This targeted approach helps ensure discussions are productive, relevant and focused on future work across the Territory's energy, resources and infrastructure sectors.

How the process works

  • Supplier capabilities are reviewed and matched against participating buyers' upcoming procurement requirements.
  • Members selected for one-on-one meetings will receive a personalised meeting schedule prior to the event.
  • Businesses not allocated meetings are encouraged to attend the Industry Support Zone, where they can connect with industry associations, tender consultants and other support organisations while networking with buyers and attendees throughout the day.

Industry Support Zone tickets include:

  • Buffet networking lunch with refreshments
  • Access to the Industry Support Zone
  • Open networking opportunities with buyers and industry representatives

What to expect on the day

  • Pre-scheduled buyer–supplier meetings (for confirmed participants)
  • Industry Support Zone access
  • Networking buffet lunch with soft drinks served
  • Opportunities to connect with key industry stakeholders
